Vandalism Attack On Orange Hall

2 July 2010

The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has condemned a vandalism attack on Burnside Orange Hall in Portstewart.

Republican slogans and 'Brits Out' were daubed with paint on the building and minor damage was caused.

The Grand Lodge has condemned it as an attack on the Orange and Unionist community in Portstewart and asked anyone with any information to contact the police.

A spokesman said:
"We believe this attack was made during broad daylight, close to a busy thoroughfare, and someone must have seen the people responsible."
