The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has welcomed
today's announcement by the Northern Ireland Office about
the amendments to the Criminal Damage Legislation.
"We welcome the announcement by the government and their
common sense approach to this issue. We would like to thank
all the politicians who lobbied on our behalf and in particular
the Westminster MPs.
"We believe the progress we have made in this matter
has been the result of close co-operation between the loyal
orders and our political representatives."
