Three Orange Halls Damaged

The Grand Orange Lodge has condemned overnight attacks on three Orange Halls in the Kilrea area of Co. Londonderry.

This brings to nine, the number of Orange Halls attacked in South Derry in the past three weeks.

All the attacks which took place last night happened within a four mile radius.

The most serious damage was done at Killygullib Orange Hall. It was rebuilt in 2001 after being destroyed by fire. Last night windows and other fittings were destroyed and republican slogans painted on the building.

There was also vandalism at Tamlaght and Drumollish Orange Halls, causing exterior damage to the buildings.
